Running. Smile was running as fast as he could through the hustle bustle of the local people, dipping, dodging, diving and colliding with randomers along the way, knocking over a few on his way to wherever he could go. Every corner he turned, he skidded along the path about a foot, before continuing his sprinting pace as fast as he could for whatever reason. There could have been a million reasons he was running, maybe he was running away from some kind of authority, though that would be unlikely, given the location, and the disregard for the law Smile seemed to portray. he looked over his shoulder at the destruction he had caused before him, and a smirk curled his thin lips through the woollen mask, unseen by everyone, except for his eyes. His crazy, wide eyes that seemed to dart every which way but where he was going, his thin, bony arms pumping as hard as they could, along with his equally thin legs, he looked like a twig, though he hadn't eaten for almost a week now, so it's understandable.

Smile managed to bump into a few others, before he finally landed flat on his face in front of a woman with a loud crash, dressed in what looked like the most uncomfortable army attire possible, or so it was Smile's opinion. The Smiley-Faced badge pinned to his jacket shone, as he looked up to the girl with a beaten smile, small rips and tears covering the balaclava, an eye-hole had torn slightly open, so a part of his bony cheek was visible, or it would be if it weren't bloodied and bruised. He cleared his throat, and coughed out an abrupt "Hi..." before pushing himself to his feet, awkwardly brushing the grit and dirt from his outfit, a stain here or there remained, though he could get those out later.

Iris smirks, as she sits down on a crate in an abandoned back alley. Yet another successful heist. she thinks as she looks over her latest stolen good: a telecommunications helmet used by the local guards in the city. Oh I know sooo many people that would kill to get their hands on one of these... You'd be able to hear everything that's going on... she sets the helmet at her side as she begins removing her stealth gear. After removing her night vision goggles, she pulls off the balaclava from her head, undoing the wrap she makes in her hair when sneaking and shakes her head from side to side, her hair draping down to her rear. She folds up her jacket and packs away the clothing and goggles into her backpack. She bunches up the legs of her pants halfway up her shins before throwing her backpack on her shoulder and walking off.

Turning a corner, she isn't really paying attention to her surroundings as she thinks about all the money she is going to get from this helmet, when some lunatic falls right at her feet. She almost steps on him, but stops right in front of his face. She looks down at the strange man, when he says hi to her. She's not one for small talk, but she returns the greeting with a "Hello." nonetheless. She doesn't bother to help him up, but he doesn't seem to mind, lifting himself up to his feet anyways. She examines his face, seeing that he's pretty badly beat up, or, at least in comparison to her. She took some pride in the fact that she has no visible imperfections on her face. She continues walking, not really giving him much more of her attention span than she already did.

Smile double took... she was walking away, and where he wouldn't usually care about someone walking away, he thought that was the slightest bit mean. He felt like he had to put a smiley face back on Iris' face, if there ever was one before, though that might have been harder to do than he imagined. He had completely forgotten what he was running from, too.

Smile began to follow the mysterious woman, and pen his mouth to casually shout "So, I never caught your name?" He never was one for talk either, though he would never pass up an opportunity to make someone smile. He fiddled with the mask a little bit, pulling at it and scratching his cheek through the rips of the fabric, taking the same pace of steps behind Iris, not really sure why she was walking away from him.

Iris stops in place. Not turning back towards Smile, she speaks in a lower tone as to not be heard by anyone who may be spying. "Iris. Iris Hawkeye." Of course her name has been up on wanted posters around the city, so now her follower would have a face to associate where the wanted posters only had a generic silhouette of a male. She found it quite humorous that they couldn't even get her gender right. She keeps walking after telling the beat up man her secret.

Smile just kinda... blanked out. He'd never heard the name before, though she said it with such an attitude that he probably should know it from somewhere. It rang a bell in his otherwise empty head, though there wasn't much else going on up there, so nothing came to him immediately.

Smile never payed much attention to anything, let alone wanted posters, so when she waltzed off like it was no big thing, he was intrigued. Was she famous? Smile had met famous people before in certain places, though he only ever met them when they were off their faces at some rave in some poor guys house.

Smile continued to follow Iris, not exactly stealthily, either. just walking behind her, trying to match her walking pace to get beside her before falling back a bit more, which happened a few times, before he remembered he hadn't given his own name. "Well uh... I'm Smile", he called over to her, trying to get her attention again, for some reason wanting to learn more about her, which was rare for Smile. Any other person he would have shrugged off immediately, and he almost did, but something about iris kept him interested.

Iris notices, but doesn't really pay much attention to his obvious attempts to follow her. In contrast to his loud and blatant steps, Iris walks almost completely silently, as if her feet weren't touching the ground at all. She walks that way out of habit more than anything else. After sneaking around for so long, one tends to develop habits in the way they walk, stand, breathe, and basically everything else that they do.

When the man speaks suddenly, she lets out a slight sigh. Iris guesses based on his reply that he has absolutely no clue who she is. Even better for me I suppose... she turns to look at him, an eyebrow raised. She was rather intrigued by the strange name "Smile huh?" she glances at the pin on his jacket with the smiley face on it. That's fitting I guess... she keeps walking.

Smile stopped in his tracks completely, tilting his head, watching the strange female figure walk away, as if his presence meant nothing to her. well fine then, he sneered in his mind, poking his tongue out under his own woolen mask, before walking away in the opposite direction.

...for a few steps, before turning back, running to catch up with Iris, as she had been fairly disregarding towards him, and that put a sad face on Smile, something he didn'e enjoy in the slightest.

Iris keeps walking Thank god he's finally leaving... until she hears him turn towards her and practically run to catch up to her and let's out a sigh. She stops walking as she sees the main street, not really wishing to continues this conversation in public. She turn around, smiling at him. It is a fake smile, although years of practice has made it rather convincing. "Did you want something from me?" she looks him up and down for the first time, noticing details like his lankiness and how thin he is, making the assumption that he probably hasn't eaten in a while "Food? Money?" she wouldn't dare start listing her more taboo services to him, seeing that he wouldn't know the value of them anyways since he doesn't know the importance of her name.

Smile shrugged, not actually knowing what it was exactly from the woman, though he knew he was happy to see a smile on her face, and smiled back, though it wasn't your average 'warm, friendly smile', more of a madman's grin, even though it couldn't be seen.

"I-unno, nothin' really." He replied with a sort of nonchalant air about him. There truly was nothing he wanted, though something told him to stick around for a while longer. "Got anything to eat?" he asked, as a rumble fell upon his empty tummy, a hand rub on his belly told him that it was probably time to eat now, or he would die. Not the first time he's been close to death from the lack of things to eat, though, he's been hungrier.

Iris sighs "No, I don't... Come on, I'll buy you something I guess..." She's had moment where she's almost starved to death, so she knows what it feels like. But this guy seems to not even care, and it looks like he hasn't eaten in weeks... she walks forward out of the alleyway and into the main street, shielding her eyes from the bright light that shines down on her. "So are you between jobs or what? You look like you haven't eaten in weeks..." she says as she walks down the sidewalk of the street.
