Heightened Security [Closed]

Iris Hawkeye walks in the busy crowds of the Metro. Out of the corner of her eyes, she notices a new setup: bright lights at the corners of the station aim inwards. Most likely, she thinks, those are guard posts... I can't see them because of the light, but they can see me just fine. Recently, many businesses in this area of the Metro have been complaining about stolen goods, so naturally, the security levels in this sector have increased drastically.

First snipers and now they've got guards patrolling every aisle... I didn't steal THAT much... she sighs upon realizing that her job has become significantly harder. She stays at the same pace as the rest of the crowd as to not stand out, but slows down as the new item on display at the Jeweler catches her eye. She leans up against the wall, looking into the glass window out of the corner of her eye, Let's see, the cameras  have blind spots at those shelves back there and in the bathroom, so to steal this thing I'd need to disable those two cameras right there... until a guard walks up behind her "No loitering, ma'am."

Great, a guard... come up with a story... okay. she turns around to face the guard "Excuse me, what time is it?"

"Its 2:15, you can't stand here, ma'am."

Really? Fuck off buddy. Who the hell cares about loitering anyways? "Oh I'm sorry. I'm waiting for my friend. She was supposed to meet me here 15 minutes ago..."

"Sorry, ma'am, but if you aren't going to buy anything, you can't stand here."

"Alright alright, I guess I'll just start shopping now. She can join me inside." she walks inside the shop.

*The Camera's seemed to turn slightly every couple of seconds, adding to the difficulty of the girl's job, and apon closer inspection, the shelves had some sort of trigger to set off a alarm of some kind. Meanwhile the Jeweler himself was a rather old man, dressed in jeans, t-shirt and donned bright white apron, containing his tools of the trade. Moments later, her time to act would appear, the man became busy with shining a item he was given, a odd ring in the shape of a gear, made of silver, While he was distracted, now would be the time to strike.

Iris is all too familiar with moving cameras. They make for a bit more stealth, but their movements open up blind spots and extra opportunities to take action. She sneaks past them in a manner as to not be noticed by the cameras at all. When they notice the jewelry missing, its better if there is no evidence that I was even there... She maneuvers through the shelves so that the store owner wouldn't notice her rather strange looking maneuvers to be unnoticed by cameras. She waits for the camera to look the other way before peeking around the corner of the aisle to look for civilians.

The store owner seems to not notice the girl in the least and the aisle's seem to be empty totally, odd for such a busy place outside, meanwhile, if she was to look at the old man, it would look as if he is talking to himself, most likely just a man in his old age. Now with a good view of the side of the cameras, she would see a logo printed on the side of them, a eagle and swords inside a gear, a manufacture's mark perhaps.

Iris walks calmly up to the display stand, carrying a box from an aisle. The box is large enough to hide her appearance from people outside the store. She places the box in place of the item on display, hides the jewelry in her cleavage, then rushes back to her blindspot. I only counted 25 seconds, so I don't think the cameras saw me... Now I just have to get out of here.

Something odd would happen next, as the jewelry is removed, a latch stringed open, a clicking sound was heard. Drawing her attention away from behind her, then she would feel a large being brush into her, then something heavy falling into her pocket, before she could turn to look at whoever bumped against her, he was gone.

Waits for the next camera to move out of position, then takes a deep breath and lets it out. Coming back the way she came, she would be noticed for sure. She picks up a mirror standing on the stand and shines light at the camera to blind it while she walks past it. She sets the mirror down at an open shelf and looks out the door, glad to see that the guard left. Perfect. She walks outside with her latest piece of jewelry, making sure to dodge the camera pointing outside the door.

The camera outside the door oddly enough was shut off, its recording light not lit, with a quick glance inside, the jeweler at the counter is no longer there. As she walked out past a bit, she would suddenly hear the click of the hammer of a gun being pulled back, then the feeling of cold metal being pressed against her skull "Get back inside the store." a voice said, with a glance, she would see it was the jeweler "We have something to discuss."

Iris grins Figures this would happen. she puts on a scared tone "I-I don't know what you want, b-but I would like to live, sir. Is it money that you want? I can give you money." If this takes long enough, the guards will see this...

The man would grab her by the shoulder and push her into the store "Cut the crap, i don't have time for this." once inside he closed the shutter to store, blocking its inside from easy view "Now, i know for a fact, that you stole something from me, but that's not why i am dragging you in here for, its HOW you did it." he then walked over to his counter top and placed the pistol down on top of it "I suspect a girl like you is in need of money." he said rather calmly.

Iris glances out of the corner of her eye at the camera pointing at the counter. She nonchalantly positions a mirror to redirect light at the camera while she looks at her hair in the mirror, seeming to be concerned by the comment. She fixes her hair a bit, as if to make him think that she is looking at her reflection on the assumption that something wrong with the way she looks would cause him to make the comment about money "I don't look that bad. I could use some money, but its rude to be so upfront about it." When the camera would turn back, it would now be blinded by bright light, barely able to make out the silhouette of a girl doing her hair in what seems to be a mirror. It wouldn't be able to see a gun placed on the counter, and it wouldn't be able to make out many details (such as mouth movements) of the two people talking. "The security around here is probably going to be coming after you for shutting off their camera outside."

The old man shook his head "Don't worry about them, money is something i have more then enough of, and guards are easily bought." he then reached under the counter and pulled out a lock box, placing it on the table "Rude, is something i care little about right now, what i am caring about right now is hiring a professional thief, something that you clearly are." he then picked up the pistol again "Also, before you say no to what i am about to offer, think about it this way, i shoot you here, i say self defense."

"Then I guess I don't really have a choice in the matter, do I? I'll do whatever you want, just put the gun down..." she doesn't like being held to gunpoint and is scared, but she keeps doing her hair and looking at jewelry behind the counter, not wanting to make anything seem suspicious to the half-blinded camera.

*He pushed the lock box towards her then pulled a key from his apron "Take these, and get out, keep the jewelry as payment." he then pulled the pistol back and put it back into his apron "Also, take this, you will need it." he then tossed the silver ring he was working on over to her.

She catches the ring and puts the ring and key into her pocket, then waits for the camera to look away before tilting the mirror back so it wouldn't blind the camera, then walks out, box in hand without saying a word. Once outside, she finds a dark corner to have privacy. She first pulls the mysterious heavy object from her pocket, examining it.

The heavy object was a pocket watch with what looks like a lock on it, in the shape of a gear, the ring she was given most likely fits inside the watch. Apon closer inspection, the watch body is very odd, nothing on it minus the key slot for the ring, not even a winding piece.

She pulls the ring from her pocket and unlocks the watch with it.

*The watch opens with a click, a second key and a odd keyfob is seen inside, a key to some complex pre storm security gate. If she looked back down at teh lock box, she would notice it takes two keys, one she found in the watch, one the jeweler gave to her.*

She unlocks both locks and opens the lockbox.

*Inside she would find a folder, grey in color marked "Top Secret, Eyes only." next to it is a pistol, a small bar of silver and another key fob, as soon as she flipped the first page a note would say "For whoever i send on this assignment, other half of payment shall be rewarded as soon as object is retrieved." once the note is moved, the first page of the folder is seen depicting a odd square box, with the words "Mark 4 Micro fusion reactor" then a location note "Temple rock military headquarters."

Iris flips through the folder for any other information. Where the fuck is this Temple Rock place?

The folder contains everything the girl would need, the location of the installation in ashen agony, the time of day the guard changes, the security measures, these ranging from landmines to pressure grids, the most daunting of them being a laser field at the vault entrance, thankfully one of the key fobs deactivates this. However this document does not tell her what sort of guards she is to find, or the measures they will take to keep her out.

Iris takes the pistol this looks useful, checking to see that it has a full magazine looks like this is all I have, folder, key fob, and bar of silver, leaving the lock box in a trash can. She walks off wearing her new silver diamond necklace, heading towards her destination with the new items in her backpack, aside from the pistol, which she carries in her waistband.
